Project Description

Coupons usually create one brief interaction: receive, redeem, forget.

Pizza Hut wanted customers to spend more time with the promotion.

RHAD turned the offer into a mobile game inspired by Pac-Man, where players collected pizza slices and sides, competed for scores and earned rewards through play.

Our Impact

More than 7,000 users registered for the experience, generating over 900,000 seconds of game engagement.

Top scorers earned coupons, while the three all-time highest scorers competed for major prizes each season.

The promotion did more than distribute offers. It gave customers a reason to return and play again.

Our Challenge

  • Make coupon distribution feel more engaging.
  • Encourage customers to return more than once.
  • Connect gameplay with rewards people genuinely wanted.

Our Solution

We created a mobile game built around recognisable Pizza Hut products.

Players moved through a Pac-Man-inspired experience, collecting pizza slices and sides while competing for higher scores.

Strong performance unlocked coupons, giving each session an immediate reward.

The all-time leaderboard added a longer-term reason to return, with the top three players qualifying for major seasonal prizes.

By turning the promotion into a game, Pizza Hut made participation part of the value—not just the route to a voucher.

Pizza Hut stopped handing out coupons and started giving customers a reason to play for them.
