Project Description

Sephora had five new brand values to introduce across its employees.

The risk was that they would arrive as another set of statements to read and remember.

Working within a controlled budget, RHAD turned the values into a web game—making learning more active, social and repeatable.

Our Impact

More than 300 employees took part, creating over 677,000 seconds of engagement.

Players collected more than 7,484 value cards through the experience.

Instead of asking employees to memorise five new principles, the game gave them repeated reasons to discover and interact with each one.

Our Challenge

  • Make five new values easier to understand and remember.
  • Create meaningful employee participation on a controlled budget.
  • Turn internal learning into something active rather than instructional.

Our Solution

We launched We Are Sephora, a web game built around Spin the Wheel and collectible value cards.

Players moved through three levels of increasing difficulty, meeting the brand values repeatedly as the game progressed.

A leaderboard and giveaways added competition and encouraged participation.

The mechanics were simple, but the repetition was purposeful: every return to the game created another encounter with the values Sephora wanted employees to remember.

Sephora did not ask employees to study its values. It gave them a reason to keep playing with them.
